Yahoo Messenger using the data connection instead of Text messages

The included Yahoo/MSN/AOL messenger sends and recieves messages via text messages (AT&T charges 10cts for each). Does anyone have an app that would use my data connection instead?

All messaging programs uses text to send and receive messages on phones. Just add a texting plan to your data plan if you like to go on AIM/YAHOO/MSN.
