I installed the WM6.1 and noticed that the scroll button on the side of the tilt will not lock. Now whenever I put it in my pocket it either turns the volume to silent or all the way up, depending which direction I am either putting it in my pocket or taking it out of my pocket. Any ideas on how to lock that scroll button on the side. Even with the rest of the keyboard and screen locked it still dosen't lock. I went into the lock properties and tried all of the options with no success.

One question....does the scroll wheel do this when the Tilt is in "SLEEP" mode? (i.e. while the screen is dark.
Since installing 6.1 (is it the "official" version?) have you done and other apps? Have you tried a hard reset? If you have the official 6.1, and have not done any hard resets, remove your micro SD card, START, SETTINGS, SYSTEM, CLEAR STORAGE. By the way, are you removing the AT&T Bloatware?

Doing the hard reset fixed the problem. Thank you. What is the att bloatware that you are talking about? And what are the advantages of removing it from my phone?

To answer your questions. Yes it was doing it even in the sleep mode. After the hard reset I have reinstall google maps. I will have to reinstall that, but that is no big deal. I also have to set up the today screen the way I like it, but once again that is no big deal to me. Having the scroll button lock when the rest was locked was the most important thing. Thank you again.

Here is a link to the HTC Tilt Wiki. I suggest you read it. You will find a section about AT&T Bloatware and all that is added to the phone by AT&T. I have a Tilt, and have removed all Bloatware. The link will also provide you with much information about doing the hard reset and removing the bloatware.
Come back with more questions if necessary, as removing the bloatware requires the correct timing :)
A quick tip: when adding apps, install them to your micro SD card (like Google maps), so you can keep them if you do a hard reset in the future and you might want to look at LiveSearch for a map program (Now renamed BING)
