Hi, I was able to get my Tilt to work as Modem.

My laptop runs on Windiws Vista OS. Just did a google seearch for 'HTC Modem Driver' , downloaded the driver for Vista on to Laptop. Pluged in the Tilt, activated the Wireless modem on the phone..'hardware is recognized by the laptop and it installed the HTC Modem driver.

Note: make sure that the modem is installed properly from your computer's Device manager.
Dial-up connection details
user name: ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM

dial#: *99***1#

Thats it...it works great.

Hope this helps.

Navigate to File Explorer\My device\WINDOWS and look for the Internet Sharing program. Copy it and put it on your Start Menu then you can pull it up and connect to your laptop using the usb cable or Bluetooth.

how do you 'copy' internet sharing to the start menu? sorry, but I don't know all there is about computers/cellphones, etc. thanks so much. I am trying to use phone as wireless modem. Do you have to have a data plan for this to work?

Select:

START...PROGRAMS...and scroll down until you find the INTERNET SHARING icon. Connect your Tilt to your laptop, get your connection, then select INTERNET SHARING on the Tilt, it will give you the option to "connect", select that, then your Tilt will connect to the internet.

CAUTION. If you do not have a data plan, you must connect by WiFi, make sure that is turned on before selection "CONNECT" .
