View Full Version : Need help with ActiveSync

My AT&T Tilt came with WM5.? and I was able to sync with both my office and my home computer (contacts calendar notes files). I recently upgraded to WM6.1 and now if I sync at home and then go to my office I get a sync error message. I can delete the relationship at the office then re-establish and sync at the office but then when I get home I get errors with the home sync. It is a never ending cycle

Tracing the error message on the web suggests that there is supposed to be a patch (??AKU 1.2) but HTC tech support doesn't even appear to understand the question let alone give me any sort of resolution and they did not answer my question about the availability of a patch.

ROM version 3.57.502.2 WWE
ROM date 7/17/08
Radio version:1.65.21.18
Protocol: 25.88.40.05H
WM Professional 6.1
CE OS 5.2.19214 (build 19214.1.0.4

Have you any suggestions on how to resolve this issue because I need to keep my calendar up to date on my office computer, my home computer and my Tilt.

Go to settings> connection > usb to pc > uncheck the box which sould say advance network or something like that

Thanks for suggestion - made no difference - I got an error before it had even gone through and synchronized all the contacts.

Error message is:

Activesync encountered an error on the desktop.
Support Code 86000107

Today I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with AT&T regarding this issue. Tech could not find a solution either and noted that problem was not unique to the Tilt but to other phones running WM6.1. He gave me the number for HTC tech support (877-878-6944).

According to tech at HTC the AKU 1.2 patch was for early versions of WM6.1 and is not relevant to the version I have. Offered no other solution so I asked about reverting to WM6.0 which did not have the same problem of synching with two computers. He told me where to download the file at the bottom of the Tilt page. File is - _ATT Tilt_RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE_1.62.502.0_radio_sign _22.45.88.07_1.27.14.09R2_Ship.exe

Has anyone tried reinstalling this earlier file over WM6.1 and has it been successful? Is there a downside to trying this approach?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did u try the new upgrade on WWW.HTC.COM heres the link http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=13&act=sd&cat=2 if not, uninstall activsync and download the newest version,then reinstall.. i think its 4.5.
