I am currently running:
WM 6.1 pro
CE OS 5.2.19214 (build 19214.1.0.4)
ROM version: 3.57.502.2 WWE
Radio version: 1.65.21.18
Protocoll version: 25.88.40.05h
is there really any compelling reason or usefulness for these other, non-official, WM OS upgrades.
yes yes, they are ROM upgrades. but the result of the upgrade is a change to the OS.
I have seen that some of these non-official rom upgrades are up to rom version 5?
I have heard that radio upgrades increase signal strength and battery life?
I have heard about a reduction in "bloatware"
I have heard about increases in overall performance?
is there a true benefit in installing the video drivers available from the HTC class action lawsuit website?
I want to end up being able to use a SNES emulator without it running super choppy (this may be impossible)
I would like to be able to playback video files with TCPMP cleanly (of course after encoding the files into a mildly compressed and compatible format)
can someone please give me a "noob intro" keeping in mind that I am not an idiot, know what I am doing, but just have not researched the specific subject of Tilt/Kaiser modding/upgrading.
Can someone possibly give me a list of the best, stable, essential upgrades/mods.
I know that this is a seemingly blunt request, and something that may easily be answered by a search through the forum.
but if the answers are good, then this thread can be a resource for other noobs who stumble upon this subject.
